Ioannis Bratakos
President, Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI)
Ioannis Bratakos was born in Athens in 1968. He has a Bachelor's degree in Production Engineering & Management and a Master's degree in Political Economy from the London School of Economics & Political Science. In 1999 he co-founded DD Synergy, a company that offers software and hardware solutions. He has been actively involved in the SAP software services field, from 1995 to 2022.
He has been a member of the Board of Directors at the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry since 2006. In December 2017 he was elected as the Chamber's Vice President, supervising innovation, new technologies and investments, as well as the domestic start-up ecosystem. Furthermore, he has been the ACCI's representative on the EuroCommerce Technology & Communication Committee.
In February 2021, he joined Athens University of Economics and Business as a member of its Strategic Advisory Committee for the Postgraduate Studies in Services Management. In September 2021 he was elected President of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry. From August 2022 to March 2024, he served as Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister. In December 2024 he was reelected President of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
